Kfashionista presents a new feature, Fashion Remix, which aims to help you do just that! Much like the many talented DJs and fans that take the hottest K-pop tracks and mix them up into something new, Fashion Remix will give you ideas on how to put some K-pop into your wardrobe.

Every Fashion Remix from Kfashionista will highlight an original remix from the online K-pop community that serves as the inspiration of that particular style guide. For our first Fashion Remix, we present After School‘s “Flashback [Epitone Remix]” from Epitone Music. Check it out!

after school flashback mv kpop fashionThe ladies of After School undoubtedly look hot in the “Flashback” MV for their recent comeback, but lingerie and fringed body suits aren’t exactly fashion pieces you’d ever wear in public. Try incorporating a bit of the sexy femininity that their style has by adding a touch of lace to everyday fashion staples. A plain black tank with a lace back ($6) is an easy option, or if you are the crafty type, try adding lace to a pair of your favorite cut-offs DIY-style! If it’s fringe you want, try it on a handbag ($44) instead! Black PVC booties from Melissa are a bit of a splurge item ($75) but are a great addition to this ensemble.

After School wore a variety of items in terms of accessories, but antiqued silver and rhinestones were definite trends. To copy their style, try as stack of bangles ($13) with a mix of textures; the spikes add a dose of casual to the set. Chain earrings ($31) gives another nod to the fringe, but if dangle earrings aren’t your thing rhinestone studs ($9) after school flashback mv kpop fashionwould work as well. Finally, a set of rings ($25) offers a lot of variety since they can be worn alone, in a stack or mixed.

While some of the members sported some gorgeous crystal-embellished eye makeup, the result is a little too over-the-top for most occasions. Other members went for a more wearable face that featured mostly nudes ($16 & $43), with dramatic smokey eyes ($22). A silvery-beige polish like Quartz from Chanel makes for a perfectly complemented manicure ($26).
